# Aunesty Moreland - Data Analyst Portfolio
Hi, My name is Aunesty, I am a data analyst and I am currently pursuing my degree in Computer Science (B.S. Computer Science). I began my studies of computer programming languages such as: HTML, CSS and Javascript in November of 2021. Seeking more knowledge from certifications I completed the Google Data Analytics Professional certificate in which I discovered my love for SQL. After receiving various online course certifications I embarked on my journey in the tech industry through higher eduction, which laid a robust foundation for my career in computer science, data analysis and strategic marketing.
My relevant coursework has equipped me with skills in computer programming, statistical analysis, professional technical writing, analytical mathematics and data-driven decision-making. Inspired by the elegance and resilience of the lotus flower, I strive to uncover the hidden truths within data sets. Utilizing advanced data analysis techniques, I cultivate insights that drive marketing success. Just as the lotus rises from the mud to bloom beautifully, I aim to transform complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
The purpose of this repository is to showcase my journey and progression as a Data Analyst.
Here, I will provide a quick overview of various data analytic projects or tutorials I have completed.
Code:
Project:Using MIT APP Inventor to create sustainability through recycling
Goal: The purpose of this project was to design and build a working mobile application in MIT APP Inventor that addresses a critical environmental issue.
Description: UpcycleAI.text encourages sustainability and creativity by leveraging generative AI. Building this app required the managment of two separate API keys, understanding two different potential error patterns, and using two different extensions in MIT App Inventor.
Code: P&ID Equipment Detection
Project: AutoML P&ID Equipment Detector
Collaborative Description: PeachBytes
Goal: Develop a Proof-of-Concept using Google Cloud to identify specific equipment symbols from Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). A bonus includes a simple chatbot to query the detected equipment data.
Description: This project will consist of data preparation, synthesiszing and transforming through AI tools. Analyze the data by using backend logic, or GenAI tools to create and develop a UI to display the analytics, by intergration of GenAI. The tool will be tested and in the final step will be presented. The outcome of this project is to create and implement a demo the models the core analytics dashboard and one functional GenAI feature to reduce the need for manual analysis.
Skills: Endpoint Deployment, cloud computing, genAI, Machine Learning, Python developing, and Metadata Extraction
Code: Using dplyr to Analyze Archipelago Penguin Dataset by Jesse Mostipak.ipynb
Goal: Use five dplyr functions to filter and analyze different species of penguins from the archipelago dataset.
Description: This project is a tutorial that I completed that includes a dataset with 3 species of penguins; Chinstrap, Adélie, or Gentoo from the islands of Dream, Torgersen, or Biscoe in the Palmer Archipelago, (Antarctica). To discover the average body mass by species AND island I utilized the Tidyverse package dplyr and five functions into ggplot2 package for visualization. In this tutorial by Jesse Mostipak that I completed I was able to set up the coding environment, load the necessary packages, explore the data, and model it.
Skills: data modeling, data exploration, data parsing, data visualization, and data importing.
Code: Patterns in data with SQL queries
Project: Present data findings through collected reports and data visualizations
Goal: define, collect, clean, analyze, visualize and present data from a local cake pop business through a relational database using SQL.
Description: This project focuses on a data analysis of a new local cake pop business and their monthly sales reports. The data and business analysis performed during this project explores various ways on how the local cake pop business can increase product sales/custom sales? Data visualizations were created using SQL through BigQuery and Data Visualization through Tableau Public. A summary of the project can be found here
Skills: ETL, SQL, BigQuery, spreadsheets, data visualization, and data presentation.
